How easy is it to open/close? You dont need two hands for this maneuver, either. The lid opens or closes with just a quarter turn. With just two fingers, you can turn the mid-section of the handle (in the center of the lid) to securely open and close.

Am I glued to the kitchen to observe the cooking process? No, a removable timer is integrated in the handle.
